Wotif.com to Brand London City in 2009

LONDON, England, February 4 /PRNewswire/ -- London City is the most established football team in top-flight Canadian Football. The CSL (Canadian Soccer League) side struggled for form at times last season and missed out on the play-offs but are looking to bounce back in 2009 and believe that working with established global organisations such as Wotif.com can only be good for the domestic game.

Wotif.com Brand Development Manager James Coulbault commented that, "We are really excited to be working with London City and believe that our role is to be much more than just a name on the kit. We hope that we can work closely with the organisation to offer supporters a world-class service."

As part of the sponsorship Wotif has built a custom website for London City and CSL fans looking to travel to away games to support their teams. The site is called http://www.londoncityaway.ca and provides hotels and accommodation near all of the league grounds as well as competitions and international football information.

London City General Manager Ryan Gauss said: "This is a step in the right direction for the club, especially as the Canadian Soccer League is looking to expand out into Western Canada and eventually across the nation. London City is very excited to be partnered with Wotif.com and hopes that our fans will take the opportunity to enjoy this top-class service. With the potential expansion of the league this is the type of service that each CSL club will need to consider providing."
